Wildflowers & Candlelight: An Effortlessly Elegant Santa Barbara Wedding

Food & Drink

Lucca Woodfired rolled up with a wood-fired oven for the day, serving a lineup of pizzas including Margherita, Prosciutto, BBQ Chicken, Salsiccia, Fungo, and Pepperoni, with a full dozen gluten-free pies mixed right in. Both Reagan and Jon happen to be celiac, making the gluten-free spread feel less like an accommodation and more like a fitting detail for the two of them. Truly a match made in GF heaven. Flair Project kept the good times flowing all night, welcoming guests with Borrasca Brut Cava and spa water before a margarita station opened up the cocktail hour. Two signature cocktails crafted just for the day rounded out the offerings, the bourbon-forward Paper Plane and the espresso-kissed Carajillo, giving guests a taste of something made especially for Reagan and Jon.

Florals & Decor

Lily Roden Floral Studio brought Reagan's garden vision to life with white and yellow cosmos, delicate chamomile, and romantic white roses woven through loose greenery, giving every arrangement that freeform, just-picked-from-the-garden feel she'd been dreaming of from the start. Beyond the blooms, every little detail carried the earthy-elegant thread through the day. Ventura Rentals and Luxe Linens grounded the day's earthy elegance with botanical wood tables, rattan chairs, and soft ivory linens, creating a setting that felt effortless yet intentional. Guests were welcomed through an entry gate strung with a ribbon-hung lace sign, “the celebration awaits.” Then greeted at a white Luxe Linen, linen-draped table, large Welcome Sign, and parasols leaned in a basket nearby for shade-seekers. At cocktail hour, a striking mirror seating chart stood front and center, framed by a basket of disposable cameras (because some moments are better candid). Each place setting carried a personal touch too, Polaroid-style name cards nestled into ivory cheesecloth runners, with linen table numbers and printed menus rounding out the ivory-on-wood palette.

Wedding Cake

Dessert came from Crushed Cakes, a beloved Santa Barbara local spot and longtime Gaucho favorite, whose gluten-free options made them the natural fit for Reagan and Jon's celiac-friendly celebration. The couple kept their cake simple and sweet: a one-tier, six-inch round vanilla cake made entirely gluten-free, finished with white icing, a vintage frosting topper, and "just married" written in black cursive script. Alongside it, guests could grab from a spread of 65 regular and 35 gluten-free and vegan mini cupcakes in assorted flavors, ensuring everyone, dietary restrictions and all, got a taste of something sweet.

Special Detail #1

We wanted our wedding to feel intentional and personal down to the very last detail, so I rolled up my sleeves and got creative. I spent weekends thrifting linen and lace fabrics, then broke out my Cricut and sewing machine to handcraft personalized signage myself, turning every sign into a small piece of the day that felt entirely, unmistakably ours.

Special Detail #2

My favorite personal detail was our place cards. We printed out a Polaroid of each guest with us from throughout the years, ranging from newborn photos to college throwbacks, so every seat at the table came with its own little piece of history. Watching guests swap photos and trade stories, laughing over old memories together, ended up being one of the most special moments of the whole night.
