Food & Drink
We had a full open bar, including a signature cocktail called “The Bitty,” a fruity vodka tea named after our dog. Dinner was served buffet-style and included beef tenderloin with horseradish sauce and fresh yeast rolls, shrimp and grits, cheese ravioli in pesto cream sauce, spinach-stuffed mushrooms, salt-roasted potatoes with Boursin, and chilled asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with lemon dill sauce. To end the night, we served pizza in custom boxes featuring our wedding crest, which was such a fun late-night surprise for our guests.
Florals & Decor
One of the things we loved most about our venue was the floor-to-ceiling glass surrounded by trees. It gave the reception the feeling of being outdoors while still being inside, allowing the natural light and scenery to become part of the design. We leaned into that by incorporating lush greenery, abundant florals, textured linens, warm candlelight, and classic details throughout the space.
Wedding Cake
The cake was a gorgeous five-tiered cake with delicate buttercream frosting. We also had a custom Bitty cake topper that read, “I do too! Love, Bitty,” which was such a fun and personal touch.
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
My dad walked me down the aisle as Canon in D played, which was the perfect timeless choice for our ceremony. We chose to exchange private vows before the ceremony, allowing us to share that intimate moment together, and then exchanged traditional vows during the ceremony in front of our family and friends.
Special Detail #1
I embroidered my own bouquet wrap with our custom “D&S” wedding crest, making it a keepsake I’ll always treasure. Hidden on the back of my bouquet was a custom pin with our dog Bitty’s face on it. She’s such a big part of our lives, so it was important to me that she was included in a special way.
Special Detail #2
Another meaningful detail was incorporating my grandmother’s vintage sterling silver hand mirrors into our detail photos. They had always sat on her bathroom counter while I was growing up. She wasn’t able to be there in person, so including them made me feel like she was still a part of the day. I also wore my mom’s pearl and diamond earrings from her wedding day, which made walking down the aisle even more meaningful.
Special Detail #3
I also incorporated a few vintage Limoges pieces into our detail photographs, including a wedding cake and a wedding bell. Including them felt like a natural extension of our timeless, heirloom-inspired aesthetic and added another layer of personality to the day.
