A Pastel Garden Palette Meets Old World Grandeur at Luttrellstown Castle

1 week ago 22

Little Black Book Venue Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin was always going to bring the grandeur, so Meg and Michael let it. Drawn back to Ireland by family roots and by the year Meg spent living there during college, the Charleston couple gathered everyone for a weekend under one castle roof, with Precision Meetings & Event shaping a day that felt regal but never stuffy. Weddings The Garden filled the rooms with summer blush, lilac, soft green and white, while Avoca String Quartet played the ceremony, Celtic Rhythm Dancers and Bagpiper for Hire brought the Irish spirit, and The Event Band carried the reception late. Anna G captured all of it, and the full gallery is waiting.

The Planning

Design / Vibe / Vision

The vision for the wedding was timeless, elegant, and romantic, with a touch of regal charm…but never too formal or stuffy. With the celebration taking place in such a beautiful castle, we wanted the design to complement the grandeur and romance of the setting rather than compete with it. Every detail felt elevated and sophisticated, while still creating a warm, joyful atmosphere where guests could celebrate! The result was a wedding that felt fit for a castle, but still completely personal to Meg and Michael.

Proposal Story

Both of their families have strong Irish roots, so Ireland has always held a special connection for Meg and Michael. They live in Charleston, South Carolina, one of the most popular wedding destinations in the U.S. and after attending so many beautiful weddings there for friends, they knew they wanted to do something a little different for their own celebration and give their guests the experience of traveling somewhere special together. Meg had also lived in Ireland during college and fell in love with the country, its culture, and its people, which made it feel like an especially meaningful place to get married. When they found Luttrellstown Castle, it all came together. The stunning setting, combined with the ability to have family and friends stay together throughout the wedding weekend, made the celebration feel incredibly intimate and special.
